Play Reel
A feature documentary following three generations of fishermen on a disappearing coastline.
Still Waters is a 78-minute documentary commissioned by Canal+ Docs, following three generations of a fishing family on the Brittany coast as rising sea levels and industrial trawling erode both their livelihood and their identity. Shot over 18 months across all four seasons, the film refuses the language of environmental catastrophe in favour of intimate portraiture — long takes, ambient sound, and the slow accumulation of detail that makes loss feel real rather than rhetorical.
